Nsu Historical Committee

The Millennium Session

The Nsu Historical Committee was inaugurated on the 27th of December 1963 at the St Pauls School, Ezeoke Nsu (now the Central School Ezeoke) to write the history of Nsu. In 1965 they published the first edition of Nsu Past and Present and it has since stood as the first reference point on Nsu history

In June 2024 a call was made to celebrate 60 years of Nsu Past and Present in 2025 by producing a new updated edition that will include events that have taken place between 1965 till date. A package for the future generation.

On July 4, 2024, the birthday of the first Chairman, Late Professor Martin Ohaeri Ijere, the Nsu Historical Committee online convention started with a goal to gather as much information and put together the updated edition. One which was unnanimousely agreed to be named the Millenium Edition. Over 500 Nsu men and women are participated.

This one year history convention is made possible by the WhatsApp platform of the Nsu Historical Committee. Participants from all the towns of Nsu working from all over the world were able to work together and gather so much information.

The convention took a break at the end of the year 2024 and will resume on the 4th of July 2025 to round up the convention. The target is to finish the Millennium Edition of Nsu Past and Present and present it to the people of Nsu on the 26th of December 2025 (Nsu Day 2025).
