The people of Nsu are decendants of Nsu the son of Ebichi.
The origin of Nsu is traced to Abba, in Orlu. Ukaji a son of Abba, wandered out of his home and during his sojourn, settled at a place near Ubomu now known as Uboma. Here he had two sons. Ehime and Uboma. The latter was a polygamist, and he had Onucha by one of his wives and an only one, Ebichi by another woman. Ebichi himself had a son Nsu who had nine sons while Onucha on the other hand had four sons.
